The 2009 bi-annual congress of the ESS promises to showcase the very best new research and provides you with the opportunity to hear and question expert opinion on key topics of current interest. It will, as ever, also be a valuable opportunity to meet with friends and colleagues from academia and industry.

The scientific programme is currently in development and I look forward to sharing it with you very shortly.
